At the African Youth Collective (AYC), the Hospitals pillar focuses on supporting the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of young people.
Through our B-MAD (Beyond Mental Health, Alcohol & Drugs) framework, we provide safe, culturally responsive spaces where young people can openly engage with issues affecting their health and wellbeing. We understand that challenges such as mental health struggles, alcohol and other drugs (AOD), trauma, and exposure to violence can significantly impact a young person’s life.
Our programs are designed to educate, support, and empower young people to make healthier choices, build resilience, and seek help when needed.
This pillar represents a place of care, healing, and growth—ensuring that no young person feels alone in their journey.
AYC delivers culturally safe and community-driven support that focuses on mental health, emotional wellbeing, and positive life pathways. Through consistent engagement, we aim to reduce isolation, restore hope, and strengthen the connection between individuals and their communities.
We work closely with young people and adults to ensure they feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.
