Cultural Dance and Music

Our Mission

The African Youth Collective (AYC) offers Cultural Dance and Music programs designed to celebrate African heritage, promote creativity, and strengthen community connections. Participants of all ages can engage in traditional African dance and music, learning both cultural expression and performance skills.

What We Offer:

  • Traditional African Dance: Learn dances from different African cultures, preserving heritage and history.
  • Music & Rhythm: Explore African drumming, instruments, and musical styles.
  • Creative Expression: Build confidence through performance, teamwork, and artistic expression.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in cultural showcases, events, and celebrations.

When & Where:

  • Days & Times: Wednesday | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Location: Level 1, 176 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong VIC 3175

Through Cultural Dance and Music, the AYC empowers youth and community members to connect with their roots, express themselves creatively, and celebrate African culture proudly.
