Program: African Youth Collective Basketball Program

Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Footscray Park near Victoria University

Program Details

The Saturday Basketball Youth Program is designed to engage young people through sport while promoting teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyles. The program provides a safe and supportive environment where youth can develop basketball skills and build confidence.

Activities Include

  • Basketball skills training and drills
     
  • Team practice and game development
     
  • Physical fitness and conditioning
     
  • Mentoring and leadership development
     
  • Friendly matches and teamwork activities
     

Purpose of the Program

The program aims to support young people by keeping them active, connected to the community, and engaged in positive activities. Through sport, participants learn important life skills such as cooperation, respect, commitment, and resilience.

The program is part of the youth development initiatives delivered by the African Youth Collective (AYC) to promote wellbeing, social inclusion, and community leadership among young people.

Coach Ochan

Program: Youth Basketball Development
Coach: Coach Ochan
Day: Every Saturday
Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: Flemington Community Centre Basketball Court

Program Details

The Saturday Basketball Development Program, led by Coach Ochan, provides young people with an opportunity to develop their basketball skills while building confidence, discipline, and teamwork. The program creates a safe and positive environment where youth can stay active and engage with mentors and peers through sport.

  • Physical fitness and conditioning

Program Purpose

Coach Amanuel Malou

Coach: Coach Amanuel Malou
Day: Every Saturday
Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Sunshine Warehouse

Program Details

Coach Amanuel Malou leads a community basketball training program that supports young people in developing their basketball skills in a safe and structured environment. The program focuses on building teamwork, discipline, and confidence among participants.
