The African Youth Collective (AYC) is a community-driven organisation dedicated to empowering young people of African heritage to thrive, belong, and lead. We recognise the unique strengths, challenges, and experiences of African youth and work to create safe, inclusive spaces where their voices are heard and their potential is celebrated.
Our mission is to support young people in navigating issues around alcohol and other drugs (AOD), mental health, identity, and belonging—while building strong foundations for leadership, resilience, and community connection.
Grounded in cultural pride and collective action, AYC brings together youth, families, and communities to co-create solutions that are culturally safe, accessible, and meaningful. We are driven by the belief that when African youth rise, our whole community rises.
At AYC, we are not just an organisation—we are a collective of changemakers, mentors, and leaders working together to build healthier, more connected, and empowered futures for African youth.
Mr. Isaiah Alier Mashinkok Jr is the Founder and CEO of the African Youth Collective. Driven by a powerful vision, he is committed to uniting communities and empowering young people to achieve their dreams and reach their full potential.
